According to preliminary information gathered by investigators, Nyeko had spent Thursday night at D-Plus Bar, a popular entertainment spot frequented by university students and residents. Investigators suggest that an argument may have started from the venue, although police have not yet confirmed the exact cause of the confrontation.
Authorities believe the suspects may have trailed Nyeko as he made his way home at approximately 5:30 a.m. Residents living near the scene reported hearing commotion before discovering that the victim had been critically injured.
