Gulu High Court Grants Bail to Gloria Grace Laker in Computer Misuse Case.

The High Court sitting in Gulu has released Gloria Grace Laker on bail this afternoon following her appearance over allegations linked to the publication of sensitive government material.

Court records indicate that Laker, under case file number 146/2026 and CRB 143/2026, faces charges of unlawfully sharing restricted information, an offense prosecuted under Section 19 of the Computer Misuse Act. She denied the accusations when presented before the court.

In its ruling, the court ordered Laker to pay a cash bail of UGX 500,000. Her sureties were each bonded at UGX 2 million, a condition set to ensure her return for subsequent hearings.

By the time of filing this report, Laker remained in the holding cells as her legal representatives—Komakech Kilama, Loboakera Stephen, and Kizza Oscar processed the necessary documentation to complete her release.

The case is connected to claims involving a court document reportedly related to Bobi Wine, though details surrounding the alleged publication remain under investigation.

Further proceedings are expected as the court continues to examine the matter.
