Gulu-based musician Okeng Born Town has stirred heated debate across Northern Uganda’s entertainment scene after publicly challenging Lango artists to a lyrical contest.
During a live appearance on Unity FM with DJ Cool, the outspoken performer delivered a confident message that immediately grabbed listeners’ attention. Rather than focusing on a single rival, Okeng broadened the scope of his challenge.
He stated that he is not interested in facing just one artist but is prepared to confront the entire Lango fraternity in a competitive lyrical face-off. He even suggested that if individual artists are not ready, they could unite under the Apatang Music Crew banner and meet him on stage collectively.
The remarks have quickly become a trending topic among fans and fellow musicians. Many observers had anticipated a direct confrontation between Okeng and Lil Square, whose name has recently surfaced in debates over lyrical dominance. Instead, Okeng escalated the narrative by extending his call to other prominent figures in the industry.
