“I Know all Northern Musicians who are Practicing witchcraft” Zetive Dropped a Bombshell.

In a surprising turn of events that’s shaking the entertainment corridors of Northern Uganda, fast-rising dancehall sensation Zetive Afridancehall has released a controversial new track titled “Jirani Pa Ajwaka”—a daring musical statement in which he boldly claims to know all local artists involved in witchcraft. The reason? According to Zetive, he lives next door to a powerful witch doctor, making him an unintentional witness to a world shrouded in secrecy.

The title “Jirani Pa Ajwaka”, loosely translated from Luo as “Neighbor to the Witch Doctor”, paints a vivid picture of Zetive’s alleged proximity to dark traditional practices. In the song, Zetive does not mention names, but the message is loud, unapologetic, and cuts through the silence around spiritual manipulation in the entertainment industry.

Real name Yahaya Lukwango, Zetive was born on March 28, 1994, in Mityana District, Central Uganda. His musical roots trace back to Kitgum District, where he grew up after his family relocated. Raised in a Christian household, Zetive found his first musical stage in the church choir as a teenager. It was here that he developed his vocal strength and interest in string instruments, especially the guitar.

Zetive’s musical breakthrough came in 2020 with his debut single “Too Keni,” a street anthem that quickly earned him recognition in the northern region. Known for his energetic style and lyrical authenticity, Zetive has worked with a number of local talents such as Pati Mike, Ken Music, Kodaman, and Liquid. His music blends dancehall rhythms with local narratives, creating a unique sound that resonates with youth across Northern Uganda.

In “Jirani Pa Ajwaka,” Zetive takes a bold step into a topic many consider untouchable. The lyrics dive deep into tales of fellow musicians allegedly seeking supernatural assistance to boost their fame, sabotage rivals, or manipulate public favor. He claims his close proximity to a witch doctor has exposed him to disturbing realities that others choose to ignore.

While Zetive doesn’t finger-point, the tone of the song is undeniably accusatory. It implies that not all success in the music industry is purely talent-driven. “Some of your favorite stars aren’t shining because of the studio,” he sings in one of the verses, drawing attention to how fame and the occult may be intertwined.

The release has triggered widespread reaction from both fans and fellow entertainers. Supporters have applauded Zetive for his bravery in addressing an issue that is often discussed in hushed tones. “This guy is fearless,” one Facebook user commented. “He’s opening our eyes to the truth behind the glamour.”

Others, however, have criticized the artist for stirring unnecessary drama. Some musicians from the region have called the song divisive and damaging to the reputation of hardworking creatives.

Despite the polarizing reactions, “Jirani Pa Ajwaka” is a strong example of how music can be used as a mirror to society. Zetive doesn’t just entertain—he provokes thought and challenges the status quo. In a region where superstition and traditional beliefs still play a large role in daily life, his message is bound to spark deeper conversations.

Zetive insists the song is not meant to defame, but to awaken. “I’m not accusing anyone,” he said in a recent Instagram Live session. “I’m just telling the story I’ve witnessed with my own eyes.”

With this daring release, Zetive has carved a niche for himself as a fearless voice in Uganda’s northern music scene. Whether or not his claims will prompt investigations or confessions remains unknown, but one thing is clear: Zetive Afridancehall is not just here to sing—he’s here to stir the waters.

As “Jirani Pa Ajwaka” continues to trend on local streaming platforms and gain traction in conversations across the country, Zetive has once again proved that music isn’t just about melodies—it’s a megaphone for the unheard truths of society. And he has released his new song with title “wanga Ki Nyami”.
